Juliann Wang 'Notes in the Wind' 16-Channel Listening Experience, Deluge

Deluge

"Notes in the Wind"

Presenting an evening of audio exploration and transformed space, Juliann Wang is curating an exploration of sonic and performative experience. The evening is a fete of the ethereal senses featuring live music, dance, and a sound experience to de-stress through the transition into the cozy Chicago months.

Beginning the evening will be Deluge, a modern experimental trio who are no strangers to breaking new ground. Their deft blend of soul, fusion, funk, and rock influences create groove-heavy soundscapes and intimate moments alike.

Then tuck in for a journey while resting in place, as selections from Juliann’s new album “Notes in the Wind”, a collection of cinematic downtempo snapshots, are re-imagined across the 16-channel immersive CLEAT system. Relax and reset as the sound brings you into closer connection with shifting sonic landscapes.

In complement to the experience, there will be a special preparation of live dance in dialogue with the work, and other sensory elements, fixing this as an event to remember and be experienced for the one-night-only presentation.
