In a word is Shalaka Kulkarni and Krissy Bergmark building improvisations with guests to build worlds using single-word prompts. As two linguistically-driven improvisers, they develop expansive, gestural scenes drawn from both a simple and wonderfully complex expression of language: a single word.
The first set will see the two collaborate as a duo. We’ll then see a solo set from a TBD special guest. Following a short break the two will join the guest artist in trio format.
