Elastic Arts is proud to present our second offering from the 2024 Dark Matter Residency cohort with a community rest session and sound bath from sun Lynn Hunter.
sun Lynn would like to offer the Elastic Arts/Chicago community a moment of rest and restoration through sonic meditation.
This sensory event will utilize chakra aligned crystal sound bowls, sounds from nature, comforting smells, light incantations, and optional movement to open the body to releasing tension.
*Please bring a blanket, yoga mat, pillow, or anything that makes you feel ultimate comfort.
You do in fact deserve rest, it does not have to be earned.
Session begins at 3PM.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
sun Lynn Hunter is a captivating multimedia artist and researcher based out of Baltimore & Chicago. Through endurance-based performances, sound art, and interactive installations, sun delves into the profound realms of vulnerability and empathy. Threading the nuances of grief, joy, isolation and love within communal experience. Connecting Black ancestral source and ritual to Afrofuturist imaginings.
