CLEAT Series: M. Sage, Primordial Ooze from Kamarimou, Sam Tymorek

At our July installment of the CLEAT Series we have two live sets and a spatial sound installation! When guests arrived they’ll be greeted by a beuatiful generative synth patch titled Heliotropic Patterns from Sam Tymorek. The piece is a multimedia installation that immerses the audience in digital artifacts of sunlight using an open source dataset of sunshine measurements to shape transformations of both synthetic sounds and a collage of photographs of sunrises and sunsets. The audience is invited to contribute to the experience by uploading any pictures they have on their phones of sunrises or sunsets via a provided link. Bring your favofite sunset photo on your phone and we’ll have you upload when you arrive!

Next up is Matthew Sage aka M. Sage who is in town traveling from Colorado. An ex-pat of Chicago and beloved friend of the community, we’re excited to have him back here presenting a debut piece for 16 channels. Matthew utilzizes synthesizers, piano, woodwind, and strings to create dense collages of modulated sound. His latest release on Rvng Intl Paradise Crick is a perfect example of how Matthew’s work has been sounding in the recent era, so we reccomend checking it out.

Closing the night is multimedia artist Kamari Patrick aka Kamarimou. They’ll be using CDJ’s and various electronics to create their spatialized compositions.
