New Performing Arts Curatorial Resident!

We're very happy to announce that our 2023 Curatorial Resident will be Rin Peisert! For years Rin has been a regular performer at Elastic, especially as a key player in the Freedom From and Freedom To Series. Rin will be creating a new quarterly series in 2023 entitled Relative Intensity Noise. The series will draw on the tradition of Fluxus event scores and Rin's love of theater from hyperrealism to the absurd. In all four iterations, Rin will present written instructions to be realized by sound makers and action artists. The result will be a multi-sensory immersive work investigating the relationship between the creator and the public. Audiences can prepare for the possibility of being implicated in the work whether as physical disruptors or in a relational capacity as performers work to relate and reorient their various perspectives. It is going to be an incredibly unique series of programs for Elastic, and we urge you to come along for the ride. Congratulations Rin!
