VASTLab brings VLX, its touring experimental film series, to Elastic Arts with 11 short films from 9 countries and a live score from Chicago duo Nireus.

VASTLab's VLX returns to Chicago for its seventh season, pairing international experimental short films with a live score performed by Nireus (T. Clara Takarabe and H. Anton Riehl). Eleven films from nine countries screen over one night, with select works scored live by Nireus as part of the program.

VLX is artist-first and donation-based — Since 2019, the series has toured intimate venues presenting experimental cinema from over 29 countries.
