Please join us for part three of The Power of the Word which takes place this upcoming Saturday at the Muffler Shop at Garfield Blvd and King Drive.
The Power of the Word is a 5-part performance event series that will focus on the power of the arts to amplify the voices of community members and artists in the fight against injustice and in sharing their experiences of healing from a year of trauma and loss. The series encourages people develop their voice to usher in positive change through music, poetry, storytelling, writing, and civic action.
The event will begin with a writing workshop and open mic hosted by Mojdeh from 2PM-3:30PM followed by performances from 3:30PM-5PM by Melody Angel and Jada-Amina.
