nunn is the harsh ambient project of Liv Mershon and R. who began collaborating in 2014 in Bloomington, IN, releasing music as Double Mastectomy, Nyx'd, and Lech. nunn exists between self harm and meditation, drawing inspiration from masochistic cycles and the divine found in catharsis.
Wajid is a Chicago based multimedia artist. Their work is a meditation on alienation, dissociation and connection through the use of harsh, droning sounds and abstract imagery, grounded in the interplay between different forms of sonic and visual expression. Combining field recordings with improvisational performances on homebrew synths and visualizing the audio data in real time, they seek to create textures and patterns that are both immersive and evocative. The end result is an integrated sensory experience that blurs the boundaries between traditional mediums and invites the listener/viewer to engage with the work on multiple levels.
The projects Steph Patsula creates are focused across a variety of time-centric processes coalescing in a union of instrument construction, experimental sound creation, and world-building. Patsula’s work prioritizes the creation of immersive art installations and live-performance which explores bodies as beacons and receptors in relationship to each other. This practice embraces the unpredictable dynamics of working with new materials, spaces and bodies by corresponding with them improvisationally. A technique that reflects a personal desire for reciprocity and intimacy through an attentiveness to collaboration and adaptability.
Keanna Rose is a lens based artist from Chicago, currently working as the Lab Director of LATITUDE. Whether it’s through still or moving image, Keanna’s work moves intuitively. Their primary practice on large format film moves slowly, focusing on capturing stills of shared intimacy, while their collaborative video work moves much more hastily, commonly in collaboration with DIY artists alike.
