About the artists

Since 1984, Florian Nastorg (Toulouse, FR) has been playing, improvising and composing for music, theatre and dance, mainly on bass, baritone and alto saxophones. His music is inhabited by the pebbles of the limestone plateau of Quercy, by the fireworks of free jazz, by the tidal wave of deliberately acoustic or richly electrified music, by orchestras of learned music and by a wealth of traditional music from Rouergue to Indonesia.

.VOM is the experimental music project of Rufus Parenti, who is a Saxophonist/Improviser/Composer based in the Chicagoland area. The band frequently rotates instrumentation, ranging from duo to sextet, putting an emphasis on the group's various sonic inspirations- ambient/electronic, jazz, folk, minimalist, and rock music. This instrumentation revolves around a duo, (Rufus on Saxophones and Leo Buczkowski on Guitar), using their instruments and effects to improvise a soundscape.
