About The Artists

Michael Sarian’s ESQUINA draws inspiration from Miles Davis’s groundbreaking work with electronics and extended improvisation. This innovative endeavor features Sarian’s loosely structured compositions and graphic scores, seamlessly integrating themes and sounds from his Armenian heritage. ESQUINA emphasizes group interplay, allowing the ensemble to explore and create unique performances that vary with each show. This project not only highlights Sarian's artistic vision but also invites audiences to experience the spontaneity and depth of contemporary jazz in a fresh and captivating way.

Flesh of Fruit is a collaborative project from Chicago sound artists Hunter Diamond and Allen Moore. Free improvisation and experimental electronics engage reflective nostalgia, creating a sound collage equally at home in a free jazz club, art gallery, or underground noise show. Their debut LP Flesh of Fruit released in March 2025 on Curio Records.
