About the Artists:

Bassist Jason Roebke presents a set for double bass and a variety of cassette players. Along with rhythmic bursts of double bass
improvisation, Roebke shares his collection of sine waves, memories, and tape collage. He will be celebrating the recent release of his
tape, "lights are low."

Erez Dessel’s work explores the piano as a vehicle for human connection. A primary part of his practice is the history of the instrument as a tool for storytelling and world-building.

His current activity includes the bands Edition Redux, Look Both Days, Ra Bishop, and Banana Acid; as well as frequent work as a solo performer. Since 2023 he has organized and curated the Night School series, which presents collaborations between improvising musicians and film/video artists. Dessel has toured nationally and internationally, including performances in Europe, Korea and China, and festival appearances at the Chicago Jazz Festival, Oct Loft Jazz Festival, the Madrid Jazz Festival, and the Wels Music Unlimited Festival.
