The Elastic Arts Outreach Program will be hosting our first event with Chicago Parks District’s Night Out In The Parks at Hassan park as a celebration of 250 years of BLACK MUSIC IN AMERICA! For our Blues event we will have the amazing Coco Elysses opening up for the incredible Patch of Blues from 5pm - 8pm!!! Bring your lawn chairs, and blankets, a cooler and everybody you know!! Enjoy a free night of Blues music with the park 6855 S Oglesby Ave!!

Blues to Hip-Hop: Tracing Black American Cultural Legacy The Elastic Arts Outreach Program presents a dynamic celebration of Hip-Hop and Blues as foundational pillars of American culture in honor of the nation's 250th anniversary. This program uplifts the deep historical roots and ongoing evolution of these art forms through performance, storytelling, and community engagement. Bridging past and present, it highlights how Black musical traditions have shaped the cultural identity of the United States while creating space for contemporary artists to respond, reinterpret, and innovate.
