Four Letter Words is a trio of transplants to Chicago from New York, Boston and Pittsburgh unified by their interest in small group improvisation. The moniker of Marc Riordan’s Rager seems to belie the true dispositions of the three musicians who comprise it, but only their debut performance as a unit will reveal the truth.

Celebrating 35 years of creative explorations together, the Ramblers ride into town with horns and toys a-blazin’. Tone Road Ramblers has had annual residencies at the Ragdale Foundation for more than 20 years, and gave its first concert in April 1981 in New York City on the Roulette series.
