The Quarantine Concerts are a collaborative endeavor meant to provide artists a space to share their work and continue to earn a living during this time when most live performance opportunities have been cancelled due to COVID-19. We believe in the necessity of art during difficult moments like these, and feel fortunate to live in a time when loss of mobility does not have to mean loss of community. Thank you for being here.

Elastic is indebted to our friends at Experimental Sound Studio for devising this collaborative endeavor in trans-spatial sound that is unifying Chicago’s creative arts community in a time of involuntary solitude, while also getting some bread to our beloved musicians. Thanks to ESS’s technical and organizational mastery, Elastic’s curators have been able to combine forces with ESS, Homeroom, The Hideout, Hausu Mountain, myriad independent curators and even some out-of-towners, forming a many-tentacled virtual sound-beast to tickle the unstimulated wonder-bones of our collective homebound audiences.  This spirit of collaboration and mutual support is what the Chicago scene is made of…now in digital form.

Suggested donation of $5/evening – think of it like paying cover to a concert! 100% of the donations contributed during each performance go to the artists who played that night.
