Desertion Trio is the creation of guitarist/composer Nick Millevoi (Chris Forsyth and the Solar Motel Band, John Zorn, Many Arms). The band fearlessly explores the history of instrumental electric guitar music and throws it in a blender, creating an explosion of jazz, psychedelic blues, surf music, and country rock instrumentals.

Noisey described the Desertion Trio’s sound as “supremely weird desert noir,” and NPR Music said the band “hits the sweet spot between Neil Young’s exploratory Crazy Horse jams and a spaghetti western soundtrack.”

In January 2018, Shhpuma/Clean Feed releases Midtown Tilt, the newest album by Desertion Trio with Jamie Saft (John Zorn, Bad Brains, Iggy Pop), and the first record under the band’s name. Midtown Tilt is inspired by the town of Wildwood, NJ and the anachronistic clash of reimagined cultures seen in its motels and amusements, and reflects that influence in its wild range of songs.

Desertion Trio hits the road in February and March 2018, featuring Kevin Shea (Mostly Other People Do The Killing, Talibam!) on drums and Ben Rosen on bass.

Jawns is an experimental band formed by Clyde Moreau and Lucas Darling in February 2017. They specialize in improv but will charge for anything else.
