====ARTIST BIOS====

AIR CREDITS is music from the not too distant future, when the planet’s water supply has all but ceased, the landscape turning to desert, the desert turning to wasteland. Radio stations worldwide have been transformed into climate controlled compounds, guarded heavily by their surrounding communities not only to maintain communique with the declining population, but to preserve music new and old— lest it expire with the planet.

The Moses Gun is an alternative rock power-trio that will send you back to the heart of the best sounds of grunge! The group just released their third album, Waltz of the Conflicted Yellowjacket, which The Chicago Reader called “…the band’s best work!” and has described their previous albums as “scorching” and “impressive!”

»radiant devices« is an electro-art rock and industrial project from Chicago. Intentional yet idiosyncratic the band has been praised for eclecticism and originality on tape and on stage. The group was founded by Fyodor Sakhnovski and Mojdeh. Fyodor is a guitarist, percussionist, and audio producer. Mojdeh is a multi-dicipline artist, musician, award winning and internationally touring poet, educator and advocate for survivors of trauma. Her writing focuses on topics related to trauma, race, family and religion. The band has performed with notable acts like Psychic TV, Saul Williams, Xiu Xiu, Pere Ubu, Man or Astro-Man?, Mr. Gnome, and Sorne.

Billy Tuggle is a South Side Chicago native; a vocalist, performance poet, mentor and teaching artist. His involvement with HipHop and poetry slam has led him to perform and present his craft in schools, museums and cafes across North America. His work has also circulated widely on the internet via Button Poetry and All Def Digital [Def Poetry] among other platforms. He has represented his home town a record 13 years running in major slam and won the 2015 National Head to Head Haiku Champion.

Afro-naut & the Afro-nots is the brain-child of Elastic Arts 2019 Dark Matter Artist-in-Residence, Mojdeh Stoakley. Afro+naut & the Afro-nots is the music, poetry, film project, and social experiment within the Afro+naut Lab. The Afro+naut Lab is a Social Practice Artist initiative born and built in Chicago, but reaching to wherever the light can and cannot touch!
